Playing and exploring

16th of June and my grandson Timmy came to visit for the day, with mum Melanie. Pups are 3 weeks 1 day old.

 That's a big puppy!
Getting very big now
17th of June. Where has everyone but purple gone?

We learnt how to climb out of the box and decided to sleep outside it!
Later on the17th of June, one relaxed pup
Whilst another decides to go exploring!
The vetbed outside the box has been changed for newspapers as the pups are now learning to go to toilet away from where they sleep, and instinctively use the paper.
18th of June and as there was an important dog show that we wanted to go to, Timmy came to look after the pups for the day. (With a bit of help from his mum and dad.)

19th of June
Definitely time for the proper puppy feeding bowls! Now we all fit in around them.

Not QUITE mastered how to stand around them perfectly yet though!
Aunty Rona came to see the pups. Look how her tail is wagging. Rona and Penny are cousins -their mothers are littermates.

Playing

Exploring some of the world outside the pen. It's almost always open so the pups can decide for themselves when to go for a wander around.
Meeting Paul McCatney the Persian cat
 This looks interesting
A couple of videos from the 19th of June -a bit dark, the real colours are not as dark/grey as this.

3 weeks old

20 days old and we are exploring the world outside the box, just a little. Some pups are more adventurous than others.
Won't be long now before they all climb out

3 WEEKS OLD TODAY 15th of June
Think we will switch to the proper puppy feeding dish tomorrow
 Climbing all over Penny
Hey, how did you end up outside the box?
 Exploring
Learning to feed standing up -if only mummy will stand still
All tired after being wormed for the first time, and we have nice posh new collars that aunty Liz sent to us! (Liz bred our great great grandmother Ripley.)

Walking, sitting up and howling

One last photo from the 8th of June. Pale Blue had been falling behind the others in weight so he learnt to lap from a bowl. Now when he's eating plenty of solid food he's fast catching up with the rest.
9th of June (15 days old) and we have our first taste of raw beef mince. VERY popular, especially with Pale Blue.

Sunrise the Persian cat reckoned he was entitled to some of it as well
Crowded at the milkbar, still 9th of June.

Rona would so love to meet the puppies properly, but Penny isn't quite ready to share yet.
10th of June. More beef.
All gone!

11th of June. John came home from having bought dog food and the puppies started howling like a little wolf pack. (The adult Malinois often howl when John arrives or leaves.) They have just started to be able to hear. The video is very dark, they are not at all as greyish as they look, the photos show better what they look like.

The gold coloured plate broke so we had to improvise!

Trying to stand up to suckle from mum, but not quite big enough yet to reach
 Able to sit up now

and walk

Below various photos from the 12th of June; 18 days old.
